Hi all,
have 95% finished my Camper trailer, just a few minor details to complete to make it suited to my needs, was thinking about a rack/basket to carry firewood as most places now it is very scarce unles you are way off the beaten track, would love to see some photos of other Camper trailer owners setup's for carrying wood, i have looked on google and cant find a great deal so thought i would put it out on here.
Thanks
Kevin

Here's my rack/basket for carrying firewood (and other items occassionally). It doesn't interfere with opening of the camper and therefore only needs to be unloaded as needed.

I considered doing similar, but ended up just using the roof rack on the Defender. There was plenty of room next to the swags etc.

I thought that everyone just carried firewood on their car.
Isn't that what front/rear bars & roof racks are for?
***I don't recommend you do this for long distances.........or probably best not at all really.

I thought this was a great idea and was going to do this to our camper, but we now have an Amarok for firewood duties.
This was done by a member here, can't remember who though, it is foldable, so out of the way when not in use.

That's a scary place to carry firewood. You placing a lot of weight on the very back edge of a trailer.... If it wasn't a 3ton 4wd towing it you'd certainly end up shiny side down on the side of the road
I know someone that loaded car parts on the back of a 6 x 4 trailer ... and towed it with a small'ish car ........ That sure didn't end nicely either :wasntme: ... he was one trailer and one car down within a few K's.
