Stuck up in cook town with a blown air compressor pump hoping someone out there has a spare or manual inflation kit the haven't fitted yet or any ideas?

If the compressor works enough to get the vehicle up to normal height before failing then remove the engine bay 20A suspension fuse as soon as its up to height - no need to even switch the engine off before doing so. Then remove the 5A passenger fuse box suspension fuse to stop the annoying 50kph messages and beeping.

If failed totally then its possible to use a tyre compressor to get air into the air intake after removing the filter located inside the left rear behind the light cluster and pumping air into that hose. The suspension compressor will need to be running at the same time. A small hose fitted to the suspension compressor may get blown off because it normally has vacuum rather than pressure although with the compressor cover removed, the hose can be clamped on using a small cable-tie or bare wire. This method worked for me for a few weeks where every few days the airsprings needed a top-up. Remove the 20A & 5A fuses noted above once the vehicle is up to height.

Is it possible to modify the system to allow an onboard compressor so to easily pump up the suspension if the compressor fails eg a t-piece post the failed compressor with a tyre valve?

Yep. Gordon at GOE sells a couple of kits to do just that.

Thanks graeme I managed to get enough air in the bags to get it off the bump stops and stop the tyres rubbing. On the way to cairns to fix it properly think I may have done one to many bonnet deep water crossing up the cape
