G'day All,

Can someone please help me with locating parts for my air cleaner assembley for my '49. I have all the metal bits but need the rubber connections and gaskets.
I don't have the original round elbow for air cleaner to carby, but a later model "oval" shape which will have to do for now.

Parts I'm after are:
261414 cork washer for oil container
217578 rubber sealing ring for connecting tube
231594 air seal for elbow
217575 rubber connection, elbow to connecting tube

I can't find them in the series one shop here,LRSOC shop or Dunsfold in any of their catalogues.Maybe I'm not looking properly.

Another thing that's interesting is that the connecting tube (part No. 231515) on mine doesn't have the wing nuts, it has a lock ring type arrangement with clamps. Is this a genuine part?

Any help much appreciated,

Dean

Hi Dean,
The round type elbow do turn up from time to time however were replaced by the oval type because I think they used to rub on the bonnet when a spare wheel was fitted. Also the wing type elbow you have is the correct type that was replaced by the later wing nut type as they rattled loose in service (I think)

Some have the parts albeit a bit expensive however given time I think the price will come down again.

Hope this helps and hope I haven't posted anything I shouldn't have.
