View Full Version : Strange GME fault

Got a weird fault with my GME UHF today.
Turned the car on to move it out of the car port and my display was dark red.
Odd, as I always have it green to match the rest of the vehicle backlighting.
Cycled through the colours and there's no more green option at all.
It's ****ing me off a lot more than it should :p
Any suggestions?

We have one that cycles thru the colour sceme on a work vehicle,despite trying to change it it wont do so,it also causes interference on AM radio stations as it changes colour,that is annoying!!!!

I picked my head unit and extra switch back lighting to be green so it was all the same, it's bloody annoying! :p :bangin:
What sort of a stupid fault deletes half the colour options!
It's gone silent as well so I'll have a look at the wiring a bit later.

Get in touch with GME (http://www.gme.net.au/contacts/nsw). I've found them very helpful when I've had questions.

Interesting.
Went into OL, who sold me the unit.
Hadn't got half way through describing the problem to my mate there and he said his has done the exact same thing.
Big problem for GME apparently.
$40 freight if I want a new one under warranty.
I want my green back! :mad:

Good to here they are sorting it Muppet....

.... otherwise you'd have to hunt down Kermit coloured cellophane.

A glaring red bar amongst a happy sea of green is truly maddening :p
However, it's also got an odd fault of not picking anything up at the moment so it will go back :)
Kermit cellophane mission postponed for now :p
