Hi there, has anyone had Vicroads send a first and final demand letter for a RWC that has already been provided and stamped by them? I bought a D3 on 17/06 and agreed with the seller that I would get the RWC. Got it on 20/06, went to Vicroads Burwood, presented info, got it stamped and submitted, paid the transfer etc, all good supposedly. Then today I get mail demanding an RWC within 30 days or rego will be suspended...?

Might they have just lost the paperwork? I have the original, but it's a real PITA to take time off work to get there and submit it again...

Thanks

Get an email of the relevant section, scan the document and email it to them.

Or fax it to them.

Can you fax or email a copy telling them that you can't take time off work to provide something that has already been provided.

I would call them and be stern and tell them you already submitted it otherwise you would not have been able to process the transfer .

Is there any issue with the fact that the RWC is dated 3 days after the date of acquisition?

No, the RWC I provided to Vicroads recently was dated several weeks after the acquisition date.

Unless I'm about to get a letter too....:D

Me too Will, my recent RWC is dated about 10 days after I acquired the car...no questions asked.

Sounds like someone in Vicroads ticked the wrong box on something

This is probably what happened. Give them a call, get a name ant get instructions on who to email it to.

You could ask on line who to send it to.
