I'd never buy personalised plates but I just had a squiz on the NSW ones to see what's available.

Here's a few that may be of interest:

exarmy
prntie
pirnte
prntee

Only of interest to me, but I noted that 48-OIO(A) was available.

I would get it, but I'm moving to QLD soon so it's no good to me (and 48-OIO is available there and in the appropriate size for the Perentie - not slimline).

Does anyone else have a plate-able ARN?

Mine is available in NZ, but they are a total rip off.

And no one would know what it means haha

Free text (or "custom") plates are eye wateringly expensive in NSW.

However "personalised" plates are considerably cheaper. They still incur a $99 annual fee, though this wasn't always the case. :(

Personalised plates are set formats. Examples:
AAA999
999AAA
AA9999
AAA99A

Edit: just noticed custom are now called "personalised-plus". $440 annual fee. Ouch.
