Hi folks,

I recently fitted a set of steel sliders to my D4 made by Brad (Disco3QLD).. absolutely great product.

I decided to add some non slip tape to the top of the steel tube to assist anyone using them as steps and help avoid smashed up shins.

Worked a treat... until the tape started lifting at the edges. I used self adhesive soft textured Vinyl tape - intended for boat decks, but it doesn't seem to like the curve of the tube.

Any suggestions on good sticky stuff to hold it in place?..... or an alternative product?

I would look for a non slip paint.
Whitworths list a non slip deck paint, available in white too;);););)

What about skateboard grip tape it takes a lot of abuse and sticks well.

G'day Mark, I had the slippery problem with my rock sliders when wet.
I found some grip tape with a fairly coarse grit in Bunnings . This has worked a treat for two years now. Pleasantly surprised I have to admit.
