Hello All,

Does anyone have some photographs that detail what anti-pollution stuff should be on a Series 3 that has a 2.6 litre engine? The vehicle, Batty, was manufactured in late 1978. It has a Zenith Stromberg 175 CD carburettor fitted to it. I would appreciate some hints about what is meant to be there and what goes where.

I was working on Batty today and I noticed that nearly all the anti-pollution pipes have been disconnected. There are also some pipes that are blanked off with a bolt and the pipe just hangs in space. There are also bits that are simply just not there at all. :( Another 1978 Land Rover that I have has a black canister with a couple of pipes hanging off it. Batty does not have this canister at all. Yes, the pipes have been cut off and blanked with a bolt too!

I also have a "T" piece where the horizontal part goes between the brake booster tank to the manifold side of the carburettor. The vertical pipe just hangs down and does not seem to connect to anything :o Is it meant to connect to anything?

I would like to be able to get Batty registered. Not having all the anti-pollution stuff present and correct would mean that it would not pass a road worthy inspection.

Kind Regards
Lionel
