Found a disconnected (cut) electrical wire, cable-tied to the flexible brake line behind FL wheel yesterday. Should it be connected to something?
Wouldn't have thought Perenties had any electric stuff on the hub/brake/axle assembly.
This adds to a number of other cut wires in various places. Pretty much everything works, so maybe these were for mission stuff?

There is a brake pad wear sensor on the front discs, sounds like the wire has been cut to it.

An electronic one? Had no idea.
I'll check the other side tomorrow.
Thanks.

Mine has a similar wire cable tied down the radius arm, only on the passengr side though. Again, it terminates short of the calliper.
I did intend asking what that was for eventually..

The EMEI G102 (Technical Description) wiring figure 84 shows the Pad Wear Indicator wiring only on the passenger side.

2 questions:
1. Is there a mechanical wear indicator / squealy thing on the driver side?
2. Is the passenger side deemed unsuitable for said squealy thing due to normal cabin noise levels preventing driver detecting the squeal?

Wires imbedded in the pad turn the light on the dash on when the connect with the disk with approx 3mm pad thickness left. (The discovery 1 has a similar system)
