My Ford is almost due for new front brake pads and rotors. I will use DBA rotors and Bendix pads and went into Supercheap for a benchmark price. After asking the expert for a price on DBA rotors for an NF Fairlane he asks if it is 6 or 12 volt :Thump:. After sorting that little debacle his computer quotes $60, I was surprised at the cost and asked what sort of rotor they were as DBA have three types. His reply was "Bosch." I reminded the expert that I had asked for a price on DBA, so he reconsulted his computer and came back with "We've got none in stock.", derr, I only want a price. Eventually he tells me $88.99, I didn't bother asking if they were vented, cross drilled or slotted, he was already way out of his depth.

I posted on another forum just the other day about my SCA experience......
I already had a quoted price from an online enquiry with them from a mate.....so I go into my local SCA, it was looking god as the guy serving the person I front of me was switched on and I thought yes here we go this will be straight forward............until he walks off with the customer.
A few minutes late a young girl as if I was being served........I uttered no thinking here we go I'm stuck with a 19yo chic al dolled up and looking pretty. I told her what I waited 'superpro bushes' and she knew exactly what I was talking about, after having troubles trying to find the catalogue she said let's look on the computer, after asking make model etc she spun the monitor around and stepped me through the options, the screen also showed the different prices from each of their suppliers. We picked the cheapest and I was happy until I had to pay my deposit tom the young fella at the front counter....we won't go there
Spouse I shouldn't judge a book by its cover eh......
It's the first time I have used SCA for parts mainly cause I always thought I would get some kids that didn't really know what I wanted.

My Daughter works at Supercheap part time, 1 day a week whilst she goes to uni. Whilst she is now learning a bit about cars I will say she is great on the check out. There is however a couple of guys who actually know what they are talking about. The staff discount is Very good.

6 Volt / 12 Volt ???? BOSCH ???? ROTORS ?????
I'd be willing to bet that if you'd handed over the cash, he'd have handed you a brand new ...................... rotor arm for your distributor. ;)
