Today i had the chance to meet Rob and Emma and see their very nice S2a in the metal. The pictures on this forum do not do this incredible truck any justice at all.

The meeting came about through a member of Aulro called Goanna shire(Brian) who brought his lovely family along.Very big thank you to Brian for putting this all together.Brian put the call out to other Townsville based members to come out and welcome Rob and Emma, but through certain events only me and Brian were able to meet up with them.

For those of you that have meet Rob and Emma during their epic lap around OZ you would agree with me they are very nice and awesome people. But the star of the show is that S2a truck,i would give a year of sundays to own it!!

Also in the morning Emma is running the half-marathon along the strand at 5.30am,So good luck girl.

Thanks for coming out Mick. It was good to meet everyone and cass really enjoyed playing with your 2 girls. Rob and Emma are a great pair of adventurers and have an immaculate un-restored 109 'six' with pristine paint and amazing interoir. It is in as new condition which I have never seen in a series vehicle before. They have set everything up so to not detract from its originality and have had quite a few offers on it in their travels.
We stayed around for the sun set on the beach and cooked some snags on the (small) fire;). It was a great evening and I will post up my photos soon. Big thanks to CarlSchmidd who has donated his driveway to keep them away from all the traffic and aparrently unfriendly locals :(. Cheers Carl! Rob and Emma plan on dropping in on their way back to hopefully catch up with a few more of the crew.

Cheers,
Brian.

A man with a chainsaw don't do small fires!!! The first thing my girls said when we left was when can we see cass again daddy. It was a bloody good day Brian i had a ball.

From what Rob was saying he can't go to far without people wanting to talk to him about that incredible bus.I personally have not seen a a series truck in such good order, and still on the road and about to tackle the tele.Must admit i am so jealous of what they are doing:)
