Hi,

I have recently replaced my inside cabin bulbs with LED kits from Jaycar. I have to say that the results are absolutely awesome. No more dull cabin lights the new kit has transformed how easy it is to see in the cabin.

I put a ZD0580 in the front and a ZD0585 in the rear. The rear one is slightly brighter which is useful when going camping etc and seeing what's in the fridge.

I am interested to know if anyone else has done a similar modification and how they are going, better or worse than expected, so far I am super happy..

Hi Stewie,

I also replaced the rear two interior ceiling light "festoon" globes with LED's and found them pretty good. I wondered if the dimming would still work, but that's fine, too.
I left the front-most one as it was, so as not to get dazzled if a passenger turned it on!!

I replaced my front with LED from supercheap auto and it is night and day compared to the original. I now ordered a cheaper version from Banggood.com including parking LED globes. Will keep you posted.

I picked up a couple of festoon LED replacements. I found having the one up front was too bright, as sometimes the chief navigator/travel chef need the light on while driving at night. Kept it in the one at the rear (which I've also moved to directly above the rear door, angled forward, instead of in the centre of the roof - to aid with visibility under the shelf).

I have added an extra LED light fitting in the front cabin above the back seats, though, which throws good light into the back for the kids. This lets them see and organise stuff an night, with the light behind me driving.

With all 3 lights going inside, it's nice and easy to see things now.
