Winter Rallie 2014

[101 Ron]

Every year I do a run to the Abercombie national Park in a military vehicle.
The Blokes who went to Wombat were not the only ones to play in snow with their 101 landrovers.
I was well organised this year and took plently of wood to keep warm.

On the Oberon Goulburn Rd things got blizzard like real quick and at night and with the camera I had the pic didn't come out too well.

It was interesting to see how other vehicles went on the slippery roads.
My 101 did brilliantly, the big mud tyres with constant 4wd and the Detroit in the rear helped no end.
Dropped out of the snow to the next camp site at Silent CK.

As proven once before with another vehicle,there is nothing in it performance wise between a Perentie and my standard engine 101 on the flat and up the hills.......even handling is extremely close.

So I've got a year to psych myself up for the looong drive across:D. Might have to look at a more "adventurous" route this time with more time to enjoy it.:cool:
