We've just been walking around Belgravia and Pimlico in London and it's obvious that one needs something other than a Rangie, Jag, Aston, Mini, or Bentley. RRs are as common as muck - seriously there were multiple Rangies everywhere.
Maybe a Suburu Turbo Forester - I didn't see a single Suby.

Weld a handle on the roof of one Ron, and bring it back as hand luggage.

Absolutely. Wouldn't be seen dead there. Kensington and Chelsea is much nicer.

I saw it in last night's Evening Standard. I was going to see if I could find a pic on line to add to my collection of horrid Land Rover pics.

Actually, yes. We were catching the bus to Southampton from Victoria coach station and had time to kill so we went for a walk around there and Sloane Square.
Seriously, I have never seen so many full-fat Rangies (no P38A but one very nice RRC) and RRS before in my life (except maybe at the the LRE Expo and that's debatable) but only one Discovery, a 4 - probably too low class for there. There were quite a few Defenders.

Sir, you have either no taste or you are from the Middle East (or both)!

I've been in the Yorkshire Dales for the last week and there's nothing but Land Rovers here of all descriptions wether in the cities of country.
No Land Cruisers what so ever! Oh what and odd feeling.

I've seen so many L322s that I've gone off them but I've seen only three P38A - and this has rekindled my liking for their look. Even my wife thinks the P38A looks better than the L322. Secondhand L322s are cheap.
By crikey, there are lots of Defender 90s. My wife says I should buy one but I've had a 110 so I don't think I'd buy another. I'd prefer another Classic or D1.

RR's are currently the fad vehicle of the English huntin', shootin', and fishin' classes. Like they used to be to the medical profession here when I was peddling them. Found in flocks in Macquarie St. and Wickham Tce. Absolutely necessary, old boy, to visit the tax farm, vineyard, stud on weekends or go to the Rugby at the old school.
