iam waiting to see if the service from scarborough can eventually get up and running , and how their prices will compare

They seem to have gone quiet on that, must make some enquiries with my mate who lives on the island, at Bulwar, he may have heard something. BTW, my rear drawers arrive next week, no house painting then!, Bob

iam waiting to see if the service from scarborough can eventually get up and running , and how their prices will compare
don't hold your breath..........the locals don't seem to think its anytime soon.
the biggest issues is getting a third landing permit and the appropriate environmental approval. micat were supposed to continue a service from scarborough as part of the deal however stopped shortly after due to environmental concern........I suppose all the locals will have different stories and views, this is just one
price increase can only be a good thing....less people travelling over in peak times.

from what i recall in the local rag was not only the permits to the island but some isues with the boat build in china and a mainland access point.

Yeah, you are right. The only people who know would be the regulators I guess. I'll have to go back to the old way, wait for a high over the area, take the tinnie over at daybreak. keep an eye on the high, come back at daybreak before the southerly picks up. You need a local with weather on the tv. Wouldn't be the first time I've crapped myself trying to get back to cabbage tree. That's why we invented rum. Bob

Heading over second week in October, not sure whether to book now or wait and see if they have any specials.
