Hi guys, I'm seriously considering purchasing a D3 to replace my now dead 80 series landcruiser. I have 4 kids so when traveling I'll need to be utilizing at least one of the 3rd row seats. I would take my 60l engel along with me when checking one out, but my engel is 1400km away from home (I won't go into that story now apart from the fact that it involved the death of my landcruiser). So does anyone out there have a d3 and 60l engel that they could test fit with one 3rd row seat up?:BigThumb::BigThumb:

I have a 60L engel in rear of d4. I have been able to raise one of the seats to lower the spare with fridge in place. My fridge is on passenger side but I don't think that should make any dufference. I have made up my own slide which you need for this fridge when loaded if you use a slide wider than fridge you may run into problems interfering with raised seat.

I had a 78 litre dual door Engel with a vertical drawer set beside it. It was a tight fit. The handles were the main issue. I don't think they include them in the dimensions, and they are a fixed handle. This model Engel didn't work for me. Power hungry and too tall to fully open the lids.
I now have a 72 litre National Luna double door. Surprisingly it fits a stack better. The handles fold in, which give it a big advantage, and the doors/lids lift up without hitting the upper tailgate......and it uses less than half the power.
Be a good idea to actually grab a sample of the fridge and physically put it in the vehicle on a slide with one seat up. .........so who's the lucky bugger to sit next to a fridge full of beer ?
