Hi guys :)

I need to know where i can buy an obd2 scanner. I have bought 2 so far and cannot them them to work. I have also bought the Torque software for Android. The two I have bought are both elm 327. One is bluetooth and the via interface cable. Is there a specific one for a Discovery 1 1998 300tdi? it seems the ones I have dont 'talk' to the ECU.

Can anybody advise me how to get them going or am I wasting my time with these cheap ebay jobs and need to pay a higher price.

Be great if anybody can help. Thank you and have a beaut day. See ya - Gerry:eek:

Ps. does anybody know the obd2 protocol for this vehicle?

The 300tdi has no ECU in Australian spec. It is a mechanical diesel only.

Hi Sheerluck, thank you for the post. However, I am a touch confused as my knowledge of ECU's and related software is very limited. If it is mechanical diesel only, then what is the connection for under the dash on the drivers side. The Elm 37 fits that connection. What info can it give (if any)?? Please remember when you answer, that I am a bit, no a lot stupid in this area.
