Hi People.
Some good news for Deb today.
We went to see an eye specialist at RPH.They did a few tests confirming that she still had double vision and its too bad to correct with prism glasses. They also say that now 6 months has gone by that the damage seems to be permanent.
Now for the good news,in 3 months she will have an opperation to correct the eye that is out of alignment and make it track with the other eye, much like a wheel alignment I guess!!!! Its 80% sucsessfull, they leave an "adjustable" stitch in that they can tweak the next day incase they are a bit out with their calculations. After that she may or may not need a prism lense glasses, they say she will be able to drive again and return to work:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::coo l::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: :cool:
She is VERY happy.

Thats fantastic news Andy... And I would guess a great relief for Deb.
She does realise though, that once her vision improves you wont look any better

That's great news mate, for both of you.
My young bloke had the wheel-alignment done when he was about six to correct strabismus, it worked a treat and he recovered very quickly.

Andy, brilliant news, its about time Deb caught a decent break!
but that means youve only got 3 months to get yourself all sorted to
look good when her vision is corrected.... big job? :wasntme::D:p
seriously though its good when there is light at the end of the tunnel not attached to a train!

Once she's had the op, you can then tell her you only brought one D4 and not two, and the money you saved you can spend on mods,;-)

I think we were all seeing double last weekend - there were two white D4's parked in LandyAndy's backyard. :p
Great news Andrew ......................... soon the arguments will start about who gets to drive the D4. Maybe you'd better not be so fast selling Black Betty. ;)
Or maybe your new found happiness with the Territory is about to become a long term thing .................

She loves her red terror Brian,Im safe. She does like the D4.
Had one of the local lawmen test drive Black Betty last nite, seemed to impress him, especially when I put the strong ECU in.Will see how he goes selling his vehicle.

Always good to see local lawmen driving a Landie .................. shows that they have empathy with the rest of us (and good taste). :)
There's one lives not far from me in Kal who drives a Defender - he's a great bloke (and about the only Land Rover driver I regularly get a wave from in Kalgoorlie - even when he's driving a Toymota paddy wagon).
