Pressure Washer Advice

I am wanting to get a pressure washer. I was looking at this.

Now I was reading in the description of a more expensive washer and it was stated that it had some bypass in it to stop he pump overheating when running, but not actually spraying water.

Anyone know about this and has anyone had experience with something similar?

I have had the pleasure of using one very similar to this . Yep complete utter cheap rubbish from china . It worked ok when you could start it i dont know how long it will last for :angel:

I brought one about 5 years ago, made in China. It has done a lot of work, I used it a lot after the big Brisbane Floods about 4 yrs. ago helping clean out houses etc. It starts very easy even after along period of no use The only trouble I have had is the recoil (pull start) and cord has been replaced My engine is a direct copy of the Honda engine and the mower shop assures me parts are no problem when they last repaired the cord.

Hi d2dave, make sure whatever you buy has a metal pump, preferably non corroding. Apparently some pressure washers are using plastic pumps which can wear prematurely, especially if grit gets into the water supply. Cheers, 130man.

Hi,
ALWAYS run the inlet though a strainer. I ruined one by connecting up to the garden hose after the hose had been used to siphon out a post hole.
Yes, I had moved the supplied filter/strainer to the garden tap.

I recently hired a hot water one. For oily and grease covered things it was 1000x better than any cold water pressure washer I've used before.
