Hi
Just recieved the 'Check brace pads' message with the the red circle and exclamation mark.
Anything I need to know about removal of the pads and disc's ?
Looked on Youtube and a couple of people mentioned the clips are difficult to get back on, any tips.
Cheers Paul

Once you get the message, the sensor has worn through, and will have to be replaced. They are about $15 from memory. There is 1 sensor for the front and 1 sensor for the rear.
I ordered all the stuff for my brake change (pads/sensors) from Island 4x4 in the UK. Got here in a week or so.
It is a pretty easy job to replace them if you've done this type of job previously.

No more difficult than any other brakes. Mine have just come due again, but it's only pads and sensor this time. Last time the disks needed doing - which is still a simple job.

If you can't find a L322 'how to' on YouTube check the Discovery 3 as they're the same Brakes.
I've done it, super easy, and I'm a nufty.

Just tried to buy the sensors and out of stock
If I leave the old sensor on will the message and red warning light still stay on the dash ? .
Cheers Paul.

Yes. It is a sacrificial part - it wears through the plastic exposing a contact. Once it brings the warning up, it needs to be replaced.
Try somewhere else - someone is bound to have one.
I get mine from here - http://britishparts.co.uk/products/5508-brake-pad-wear-sensor-SEM000012. All of £3.60. You would get this within 4 or 5 days from these guys, they are very good.

Their prices for L322 parts look pretty reasonable. Surprised me.

I've bought most of my stuff for the L322 from them. Good prices, good service and fast delivery.
You usually get some goodies in the package like a mouse pad, pens, etc too.:)
