New Defender Has Arrived!

Got the call from the dealer this morning to tell me my car had arrived and would be ready for pickup this afternoon.

Out the office door by 4.30 I managed to make it to the dealers, sign the paperwork, give the car a once over, be introduced to the service department manager (hopefully I don't get to know him too well), drive to the beach and take a few shots before the sun went down.

Will take some more in better light and with something better than my iPhone over the weekend.

Optioned as follows;

- Custom Full Leather Trim (fitted in Australia)

Just wait until you get the the final week, the days seem to drag by.

Will get some pics of the whole car including leather over the weekend. Aparently Land Rover use a company called Doyle's in Sydney for all their custom upholstery, they've done a great job, very tidy.

Took the car for a run down to Sydney today and received our first Defender wave from the driver of an old Blue County near Turramurra.

Looks fantastic! Saw a similar set up at Austral in Brisbane at the weekend. I was in love with it until I asked the price ~ a cool $58k. Boo! Back to looking at second hand models.
