Hey,
My recently acquired P38 has a bit of an odd habit with the EAS. The car stays up perfectly with no deflating issues, but as soon as you start the engine it instantly drops to access height regardless of what it was sitting at before....

It'll then pump back up again fine and no issue till you next leave it. Park it up, hop in, turn the key and once again as it fires up the suspension drops to the floor. Move off or hit the button and it'll pump itself back up straight away.

Anyone experienced this before?

Rgds,

Al

Not heard of that one before. I'm not too far from you if you wanted to try the spare EAS logic controller I have.

Have you tried to see what happens if you remove the EAS delay relay/switch under the passenger seat.

Wonder if one of your height sensors is dodgy? Seems unlikely though. Given that normal height can be selected once you're up and running.

Sounds like it's resetting itself each time you turn the key.

I wonder if dodgy corrupt ghost fault codes could cause the ECU to go spastic.

Thanks guys, will try pulling the relay and see if it still does it.

May need to get codes cleared as there could be ghost codes stored indeed, just need to find somewhere with suitable kit to clear it as although I have a T4 interface unit I have never been able to get the software working as yet to do it myself.

Rgds,

Al

ps. That stereo I bought from you is working a treat Andy, pulled the display off my old one and made 1 fully good working unit out of the 2 faulty ones.

Try this with your laptop EAS Unlock V3 (http://www.rswsolutions.com/index.php/range-rover-p38a/range-rover-p38a-eas-unlock-v3) . you need a cable to connect the laptop to the OBDII plug which you can make yourself or purchase off the internet...
