I certainly hope we all had a wonderful (is there 1 L or two on the end of wonderful(l) p38a?) day and that santa brought us all the pressies we asked for? I got a new micro wave, a rebuilt computer and a camp oven. Xmas just isnt the same when you are over 14. Oh well next year will be fun with a one year old to cater for. Matt

I didnt get much, mum and dad fixed our computer for free after it got struck by lightning, i said dont get me an xmas pressie and we can call it even. I still got a camp oven and a microwave. What would we do without mums and dads. Matt

I didnt do half bad,,

got a boat( well last year,, but I am probably gunna "get it" for a coupla years yet :wink: )
a room air-con 8)
and Half-life2 ( about 3 weeks ago)

and a bottle of Canadian Club to be social with,,, style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif

Sounds like you did alright. How have you found half life two. We cant rent it at the shop because you have to register it online. We havent even had anyone ask to buy it yet. Matt

Yea,, its OK,, amazing graphics,,great gameplay but---
Steam is a HUGE piece of ****.
I will NEVER play this on-line, I bought it retail so why you do I need to download 100's of megs of crap???

I have been told it is good, i never play games on line. Besides anything has to be better than Halo 2, that thing flopped so bad. We bought 4 copies to sell on the shelf, and 7 to rent, all were rented for the 1st week, then we had to sell 5 on ebay to make our money back, we sold 3 of the ones we ordered for sale and then had to sell the other on ebay for less than we paid it, over all i think we broke even on Halo 2. I know its not a pc game. Do you only play the pc games or so you have an xbox and/ps2? Matt

I played Halo for Pc and couldnt believe someone got paid for making it,,

It did show to me what people who own/buy Xbox/playstations etc get from a distributor.
Gaming to the lowest common denominator.
They couldnt possibly be ALL that bad. :roll:

No, grand theft auto san andreas has been a real winner, hasnt been on the shelf in the time we have had it, when some one brings it back it goes straight back out again. I will agree with you that pc games are a level way above xbox and ps2, however the simplicity of these will always favour them over pc, its just to damned expensive keeping pc's up to date and when you buy games you have to worry about whether or not you pc will handle it. With ps2's and xboxes you just go in buy/rent it and you know it will run on youre machine. Matt

Yeah its a pretty high requirement game, it sucks the juice out of youre ram and graphics card. Matt
