Noticed a new sound from the beast today. :(
When performing parking manoeuvres, low speed, full or near full lock, changing direction or turning slow tight corner, etc.
A metallic "clunk" every now and again. Somewhere up front, steering, suspension or there a bouts. Happens a couple times when juggling into or out of a tight park.
Also heard once or twice on a left turn after stopping.
Starting to bother me a bit. Not enough to get wet crawling underneath. But thinking needs investigating pretty soon.
Any likely suspects I should look out for?
Thanks for advice.

Umm the left turn after stopping is strange.
Driving slowly forward and in reverse going from lock to lock.....if you hear a clicking noise it CV's if you don't I guess it's something else.

First guess would be panhard rod bushes, second would be radius arm ones. Neither are real serious items.

Thanks all.
Doesn't sound like CVs. At least not FWD ones. Not a constant clicking on full lock.
Just a single clunk when a new force comes into play, such as winding on lock, or stopping and reversing.
When the rain goes, I'll have a good look underneath and report back.
Thanks again.

It will be free play (not necessarily very much) on something in the steering. First check for loose wheel nuts! (One of the more likely, and probably the one likely to quickly become dramatic)
Most likely one of the tie rod ends or, as suggested, the panhard rod bushes, but there are other possibilities including loose pitman arm, loose steering box, loose U-joint on the steering column, damaged swivel bearing, faulty or loose steering damper, cracked axle housing, loose swivel ball to axle bolts, cracked wheel, loose wheel bearings.
And probably others I have not thought of!
