after seeing what recently occurred to my daughter due to a lack of due diligence by SPERS and the behavior towards her by qld police on behalf of the qld government

you would want to read this story and then make sure you have no outstanding toll fines you know nothing about.

even if you have approached them recently and think you have nothing outstanding, you best check again before this lot comes in...

Government plan to collect $1 billion in unpaid fines (http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/queensland/government-plan-to-collect-1-billion-in-unpaid-fines-20140818-105joi.html)

am dam sure i am going to be checking....

Thanks Dave.
I have just checked and apparantly in the clear for now ;)
They did advise that they only receive a listing (account) once a fine or infringement is passed its' due date with the issuing agency.

They can also cancel your licence without telling you, I believe, meaning you could be pulled up one day, hand over your licence and be told its been cancelled so you are an unlicensed driver. Not knowing doesn't seem to be an acceptable defence in this police state either.

exactly what happened to my daughter

with a car full of kids under 5 on a very hot day stuck on the side of the road with a belligerent police officer.

she had never at any time received any notification she had an unpaid toll. they sent all the stuff by standard mail to the wrong address even though they had the right one on record... go figure....

she went to court and won but that rarely occurs i am told.
