Hi Guys
Got to do my good deed for fellow Landy pilots today.
I got a phonecall a friend who works at The Woolstation, saying there were a couple of people with a Landy with a broken fuel pump.I told her to send them around and I would see what I could do as the local mechanic is away"Gone Fishing"
The people called around,Canadian tourists in a V8 County borrowed from a friend in Perth.Turns out the electric fuel pump had died, and they were stranded at the roadhouse.
In true Landy help another Landy out in distress,I got them the electric fuelpump(a Facet suits up to 6 litre) and some fuel hose off "The Toy" and my auto-electric tool kit.1/2 hour later, they had it fitted and were on their way,VERY VERY RELIEVED to say the least!!!!!
I just told them to drop the pump off on their way back to Perth,I dont think I will have a problem with them doing a runner with my pump, they were so gratefull to get the problem fixed so quickly and easilly.
The County was really well setup,Brand new motor, tyres, also had a rear ARB air-locker,compressor and airbags inside the rear coils.

That would depend on whether or not you had finished cleaning your guns. Matt style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Hi Guys
The Canadian couple just called in and returned my fuel pump, complete with new fuel hose and a bottle of Red from Albany.
They got almost all the way to Albany and they ran into problems again, they finally got the problem sorted today, the cause was green slime in the tank eventually blocking everything. The hi volume/pressue pump probably was just enough to get them there.
They live on a small island in Canada, and are about to start a kyacking/eco tourism bussiness and we are invited to have a holiday with them if we ever go to Canada.

Great story.
Good to see there are still people out there we can trust.
That they were driving a real Landie is no coincidence I'm sure.
Here's Cheers :!: :!: style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif

There is just something about land rover owners. They are a completely different breed. Go to any land rover show and ask anyone a question about their vehicle and you will get all the info you need. Toyo drivers on the other hand, whilst there are some nice ones, the rest are just arrogant arse holes, just look at the bunch of idiots who pulled up when jason got stuck, they didnt say hello, they just got out and started taking photos, filming with their video cameras and offering advice which wasn asked for or needed, then once they were bored they all got back in their cars, with out waiting to see if we needed help (not that we needed it from jap crap dirvers or anything) and drove off. Total bunch of dick heads. Now if that had been a bunch of land rover drivers, they would have hung around and helped get the rangie going again. Matt
