Hi all,

I am about to send a couple of pairs of heads off to my mate who is an engine builder to go over them pick the best pair and reco them completely for me, but here is my problem, both pairs came off carby engines and I know there is a notch in efi ones for the injectors, so I have decided to grind the notches in myself before I send them, some time ago while searching 100's of posts on here for info I came across a diagram someone had posted showing this notch in detail, its my own fault for not saving the post at the time :wallbash:
I have just spent the last 2-3 hours searching for that post, trying every search phrase I can think of to no avail, I cant find it...

Is there anyone here who has that diagram or a similar one they could post here so I can see and measure were to start grinding,

Many thanks..

Use your inlet gasket as a guide, all the EFI ones I've seen have the notch. Anyways, it's about 1mm deep and 10mm wide and is at the outer side of the ports so that when you face the head the notches are left, left, right, right.

Thanks Bee utey, you would not by any chance have a picture of this notch on a head floating around would you?

Just for you I tipped over a dead head and took a pic:

The notches aren't very big, in fact I'm sure that if you didn't know about them you wouldn't notice their lack.
