JLR mangoose?

Who knows about v138 jlr mangoose (http://www.careucar.com/wholesale/jlr-mongoose-for-jaguar-and-land-rover.html)?

I recently bought a second hand 08 vogue. Unbelievable that the engine light came on a few days later! I want to read engine but don't want to go to the dealer. The car just makes me broke:( I found this tool online, the price is attractive, said it can read land rover up 2005, is this true? But I do not know if it really works. Can anyone tell me more about it? Vehicle list? Installation? Upgrade?

I got it with V137, works ok. It works with JLR MY2005 onwards (there are, I think). It is super easy to install, cannot be upgraded, if you load new firmware, it will not work anymore (I was told on other forum).
