G'Day people.

I've just made the switch from the other 4x4 company and bought a D3 TDV6. I haven't taken delivery yet (hopefully Wednesday) but looking forward to a change. The old boy has a D4 and it is pretty impressive.

Remember the golden rule..... it didn't happen without pics 😊

Thanks guys!
The D3 will be arriving in the next few days. The suspense is killing me! Well that and having to drive a Corolla hire car around as I sold the Jeep yesterday :)

Hi Dane......just think when you get out of the Corolla and into the D3 it will genuinely be pure luxury :D:D:D
Then like the rest of us you will start piling on the kilometers.

You're not missing the Jeep then.

There are a few things I am missing about the Jeep... Performance wise, I had a diesel chip in the Jeep and I think It would have the Disco in a drag race, I also didn't realize I couldn't hook up my phone to the Disco stereo via Bluetooth, although the Disco has a heaps better sound system!

The model I have hasn't got the 4x4 info on the sat nav screen. That and the bluetooth are my only minor concerns :)

With the right kit (Faultmate) you can enable the 4x4 info screen.

Bluetooth can be retrofitted too. ;)

I've been looking at the Faultmate and the NANOCOM. Not sure If I can justify spending that sort of coin to get the 4x4 info screen. I have a G-Scan and some other programming tools at work which I am looking forward to having a play with.

I can live without Bluetooth for the time being, It does have an aux input which I can make do with at the moment.

I've also ordered a LLAMS kit :)

I took the plunge and got a Nanocom which let me get the 4x4 info screen. I also found out that the diesel chip that was on my Jeep will work with the LR3 with a new harness, so I went ahead and got that too!

Firstly, congratulations on getting your D3 - awesome car! Just be a bit cautious with chips on the D3's though. From memory they only alter a couple of parameters (like fuelling) and can often lead to engine damage if you turn up the wick too much. You will probably be better off with a re-map to reliably get the most out of your engine. Look elsewhere on the forum for some tips and advice of others who have gone the chip vs remap route before you proceed. Use the AULRO only search engine at the bottom left of the page for best results. Good luck with whatever you choose and look forward to hearing more about your new beastie!! :D

Enjoy. Llams is probably the best single mod you can do to these cars after a set of AT tyres and Greame offers great service and support for his product.

I've installed the Llams kit. It was actually a lot easier and quicker than I thought it would be.

I've also since installed a duel battery system :)
