Heads are no longer made. Not even AM AFAIK. I believe the likes of Turners buy used heads and refurbish them....

If you need a new head, swap to a 300 head, pistons and injectors. The heads bolt up OK, just that 300s have combustion chambers in the middle of the piston whereas 200s are offset.
After that, most other parts are identical to either series (2.25) or 300tdi parts.

Hi,
Good question. Answer is also dependent upon which 200tdi. There are different versions for defender and discovery.....
I can surely say that timing cases for 200tdi discovery were apparently lovingly hand crafted and cast in unobtanium. I could not find one at all, anywhere...
So, maybe for sale, fully rebuilt 200tdi discovery, no timing case....

Hi Dave,
can't tell you about the situation Down Under but here in our neck of the woods you still can get parts for the thingy. Not necessarily overnight, but eventually. Let me know if I can be of assistance.
Cheers

If he takes it out of the Classic Rangie;);););)
Would be worth planing on replacing it with one of those 2.8 brasilian TDis in the future if you buy it Dave.
Would make a bloody good vehicle.
