He's here! Ace junior arrives!!!!

Hi guys, As you could have guessed by my absence last night, i was with stacey. The contractions started pretty much straight away. He was born 13hrs later at around 8:50am this morning- Wednesday 5th Jan 2005, weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces and measuring 23inches long.

It was a hard slog, but we got there, a healthy baby boy, named, Marcos. I havent slept since monday night, and would rather tell you guys all about it than sleep now.

I will get some photos up when stacey parts with the camera.

Hi guys, just got back from the hospital, Marcos is healthy, but he has jaundice, Stacey and Marcos nearly got to come home today, stacey hates the hospital, she cant eat the food because it is all stuff she doesnt eat at home, let alone when it is served as hospital food.

The Jaundice is caused by this stuff in the blood called bilirubin, if it gets to high he might need a blood tranfusion to prevent brain damage. However all is not bad, his bilirubin levels are only just above the "be worried limit" so a night or two under a UV light to kill the bilirubin off and he will be as right a rain.

Now to answer all the questions, and to return all the smart remarks.

I dont get any sleep now because i am addicted to this place, at least now i have an excuse for not having a life.

Yes Stacey knows that her photo is on the web, just not which one.

Yes she is a spunk, and yes she knows that but i will be sure to pass it on vlad.


Yes he is named after Marcos Ambrose, I would drown him at birth before calling him Mark I cant Drive for **** anymore, Im a sooky whinger Skaife.


I wanted Russell, but my surname is Holden (Let the jokes begin) and calling him russell would means his shortened name would be Rusty Holden, not really fair. If My surname was Land Cruiser, i would have called him Heapa****.

Not tired and grumpy, it takes a fair bit to get me grumpy. Just fed up, stacey messaged me this morning and said bring clothes for Marcos, I am going to tell the nurses i want to go home today. He is breat feeding like a champ, he takes after his dad there, I like boobs to, and stacey isnt sleeping at the hospital to much crap going on. Then when i get there i hang around, gotta wait for the doctor, he arrives, I go and have lunch, then when i get back i wait an hour for blood tests to come back to then be told stacey has to stay for another couple of days (because of the jaundice Marcos has) then i get told she might have to be there for another 5 days. Stacey cries, makes me depressed cause there is **** all i can do about it. I hang around till 9, then go home deflated cause stacey is upset. Not grumpy, just sad. Matt

His blood oxygen levels were below the norm when he is sleeping, they are fine when he is awake, but when he sleeps they drop. They put him on oxygen during the night and his BO levels were at 100%. He is fine, doctors just arent sure what is causing it because he appears completely healthy, yells and scream like a baby, ****s like a baby, and is quite active and moves well. He is fine now. His BO levels have come back up to normal, and the bilirubin levels are lower, so the jaundice is subsiding.

Thanks Kretcheman. The Great Ocean Road is an awsome experience. I am heading that way in October this year. I am getting married and heading to Kangaroo Island for the honey moon and heading along the great ocean road on the way home, stopping at Melbourne Zoo and then heading to Wagga before heading home.

No we have to wait till Stacey gets divorced first. She was young and stupid. We went ahead with the whole family thing cause we knew marriage would follow. We would have like to get married first, but when things are right, it doesnt matter what order.
