Hi guys,

I am looking at buying a late model (2009-2011) Defender 130 HCPU, but am not sure it will fit in my garage.

Length shouldn't be an issue, but height could be. I have ~2070mm of clearance and the published height is 2021mm. That said, I would rather check with a 130 before buying one and finding out it won't fit. It will also give me an idea of what, if any, room I have for mods.

I was wondering if there was a member on the north side of Brisbane with a 130 that is on stock suspension and tyres that would be willing to come around to my house to check the clearance?

Send me a PM if you can help out.

Thanks in advance...

Ben.

Remember garages can be modified! ;)

I am pretty sure my garage door opening is 2060mm, my 130 just rubs its' canopy roof on the bottom of the roller door. The canopy sits a little higher than the cab, probably around 25mm.

Cheers, Mick.

Thanks for that Mick.

Do you have a lift kit or bigger tyres on yours?

Went and test drove an 09 130 HCPU with 32" Mickeys on it. I measured the height at 1990mm to the highest point on the above the second row of seats. Unfortunately, it was on the opposite side of Brisbane, so I could not try it out in the garage.

It had a hefty timber bedded steel tray and a steel winch bar on it without a winch.

G'day Ben, mine has no lift and standard tyres, I double checked my door opening, it is 2060mm.

Cheers, Mick.
