How do you find the spotlight and bar combo. Just got some 700 luman LED spotties and not sure if I should get a light bar for my Tracklander roof rack.

clearance, maybe 37s..

A lift doesn't increase clearance. It just gives the illusion of clearance until you compress the oversize tyres into your body and stop all forward progress.
Extra clearance requires trimming and or increased bottomout bumper thickness.

2 inch lift will fit 37s...been done by more than one landy owner.
what have you done other thank longer coils and shocks?

Actually I have a mate that rasied his defender 5 inches then lowered the body 2.5 inches

A 5" lift is a fairly aggressive lift. As others have asked what components are you using for the lift and drive line re-alignment? How it handles with the lift, body roll etc. Will also be very interested in the roadworthy inspection and lane change test results as it is over the allowable 50mm / 2" max lift.

Will be interesting on a good cross slope :) I've been on a couple of cross slopes that were sketchy without any lift and using standard sized wheels.

Running an offset rim can help with stability due to wider wheel track, however a 5 " lift is quite high for a defender

Standard lift and portals would give a better result in terms of COG
Depends on purpose....

This is one which was in our club. A great vehicle that showed that you can have big tyres, lift and stability. Incredible where it would go.

Here's a nice def/110/county with 37's that I have been drooling over for a long time. :D

Not sure to be honest. I cant find a flat picture of it. This is about as flat as I've got. The tyres are 35"

No chance the rest of us were doing this.

Slunnie; Coreys Defender was about 3" on custom coils cold rolled by a mob in Sydney, wasnt a major though.
Problem was the thing 'pig rooted' every time it tried to climb something steep as it never had the rate for coils and shocks balanced - I remember Corey struggled with multiple sets of springs to try and resolve it.
Still, he did it up well, and I was surprised when he sold it...

Pig rooting is a by product of high Anti-squat. Coil rate and shock valving will only mask bad geometry so much.

That's it Tombie, it was an awesome truck. Just needed long arm lower links to put the power down. 3" was it, it sat high, but did have a roof rack.

Picture of the same 110, (but without the big tyres) behind one of my 90's. Picture taken April 2013.
I had a good look at the 110 when it was parked outside Rhodes shopping centre, appeared to be a very well set up vehicle which the owners obviously enjoyed using.
Mike.
Sorry, cannot figure out how to make pictures bigger when posting from an iPad.

But only solves one part of the rear. The front will feel harsh over bumps on the road no matter what spring shock combo and the oversteer will be unsettling.

Is there any way to fix the front?

Longer radius arms with new chassis mounts and all the legal hassles that go with it.

Based on my experiences at least, I don't think the lift in the front will produce an appreciable difference in harshness. The biggest factor by far will be the shock bump valving.

Ask Blknights Dad.. I had mine reasonably sorted - he will be able to provide more feedback..
