Did Land Rover make a retro fit rear door reinforcing kit?
Masai UK sell one. (bit challenged at posting the link on this site)
Is there something similar available here.
Need to get the spare off the door permanently and repair the fatigue cracks in the internal frame.
Post 2002 doors seem the go if they fit but scary $$
Cheers Pat.

I have noticed a very bad rattle on my 04 110 and was thinking it must be the weight of the tyre, I haven't looked into it yet unless there is another issue somewhere, keen to hear how you get on.

Go for a permanent fix and fit wheel carrier.

Ridji Didge's is the best on the market followed by the Kay-Mar version.

I have a 2013 110. How much would you expect to pay for wheel holder

When I got my Defender back in 98/99 it was only a few years old but had done a few big trips. The rear door was sagging had a total of 13 cracks that had to be welded up. Also the glass was ready to fall out because of all the flexing.
Stripped the door, father-in-law welded up all the cracks, door on blocks and me standing on it to try & twist back into shape as the welding took place.

Fitted a Kaymar, rear door still fine.
