I have seen that white D110 somewhere else! Water tank on the drivers side and blackened wheel arches
I think the owner is a member of LROC -- sticker on the rear side window?
I saw a pic of it on Overlander and it was in the desert somewhere.
Can barely see the red Defender.
rmp

Yes, that's a LROCV sticker, and yes that 110 has been in Overlander magazine 3-4 times last year.
This is more fun that I expected!

From memory it looks like a Pic from LROCV Robe gathering.
There are pics on the Robe trip on their site.

I must admit that I know where it is, but only know who owns one of the Defenders, and I don't know why sand flags aren't mandatory in the dunes.
It's not Robe, nor is it an LROCV outing.
Amazed that nobody's picked the beach yet!!!!

My guess on the beach is Stockton..... but the owners of the Defenders will take more research in the gallery I think....

No, the white 110 is not Bush Tucker Man.
I don't know who the black 90 and red 110 belong to.

The white 110 is RMP, and yes it does have a sand flag (out of picture).
Dunno about the others ?

Well, I have no idea who they are, or where they are.
I wish one of them was mine, and I was there 8)

OK....
It's at Stockton Beach, early this year.
The white 110 is mine.
I have no idea who owns the black 90, or the red 110 in the far background. I'd driven onto the beach at road pressures and had stopped so we could breakfast, lower the pressure and raise the flag.
I was the only person I saw with a flag. Granted, you don't need one for beach work, but Stockton has dunes, and to my mind sand flags are as essential as low tyre pressures.

Er yes, it was pretty much undamaged and served as coffin to several locusts recently.
For everyone else, I ripped it off while competing on a trials day. However, that's nothing compared to the string of parts left by a Disco II!!!!

I'v been trying to get one to fit my snorkel , but apparently the diameter
is an odd size. I may have to make an adaptor piece.
Cheers mate Davo ..

I'm still trying to work out how to scam the missus to get a snorkle. If I drowned the vehicle and said "see hon if I had a snorkle that wouldn't have happened" I still wouldn't get it, I'd have to spend the dough on rebuilding the V8 :?

Yes, the 7-inch's neck is too small. The 12-inch, which is what I have (and a precleaner, too) is too large, but that's easily fixed with a bit of 3mm rubber.
I am told the 12-inch is too large for the TD5 which doesn't suck enough to properly get the air swirling, and the 7-inch is the go, with an adaptor. Let me know you get on. There were two TD5 Defenders with such adaptors at the LROCV field day.

I doubt the large (12") would physically fit mine anyway.
Intend nosing around at work for something which might do the job.
Might catch up with you at the next trial and have a chat , if your going ?

Just point out reback mis fortune and say see, a snorkel is a small investment to prevent this happening. Tell her its fine if we dont get one, but you have to pay for the motor rebuild if it has a drink. Matt

The water tank is going nowhere, it's bolted into the vehicle. 50L. The tap is attached to the tank. Nobody can put anything into the tank without a drill as the input valve is locked, similar to a long-range fuel tank.

Thanks rmp.
I assumed it was attached to the tank  , but whereabouts? At the front/back? Inside the vehicle? Under the vehicle? How is it protected?
I am interested in a water tank, hence the annoying questions!

Why what? Why carry water? Prevents death. Why lock it? To prevent death by a different cause!

I'll take some pix, that'll be the best way. It's not protected as such, but it's no lower than the chassis rails.

Is it watertight :?:
Not the tank obviously, I'm fairly confident that would have to be style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif I mean the cap.
For example, could it be submerged for a while during a water crossing or jason-style in a bog hole without polluting the tank water :?:
