Due to my tired induced absolute stupidity I have gone and cracked the front output housing when re-building the t-box with Ashcroft ATB centre.

Wondering if anyone has one available that could be expressed to Cooktown?

Would be happy with just the housing but will take just about anything that is available!!!

For what it is worth 1995 Defender 22E prefix to the box

Many regards

Steve

If you don't find one closer I have one from an LT230Q (late model D1).
In fact you can even have the whole case... (in bits with a couple of stripped gears).

With great humility and thanks - The amazing generosity of landy owners on this board once again shines through

Noel (Ancient Mariner) calls me with the great news he has front housing.
AAAAAAnd that he was heading north to do some exploring in his newly built (and totally awesome) zuzu powered 110. Noel was hoping to do the CREB track but trundled north with the housing.
We met up at lunch and had a good old yarn. Housing was in A1 condition and is now in process of being built up. Have dialed in the pre-load on the Ashcroft ATB/ mainshaft and new housing it just needs a bit of goop and the new seals to arrive.

Thanks mate - Im in your debt

Picture shows what you want to see when you bugger something proper - a twin right next it ;)

Steve

Great to hear. Well done AM!

Are you going to do Noel's bearing upgrade?

My plan is to tidy up the leaking inter shaft slug hole with a steel sleeve but no other mods...

I must be a softy because in 15 years of R380 and LT230 flogging about over a few different landies I have never done a gear bag bearing or a diff or a half shaft... a few t-case seals and the odd uni joints and of course those rubber donuts on an old disco but clearly I am too soft on the drivetrain so cant see the point in modding up the box too much.

Hey Steve glad it all worked out I decided to do the Trib road as I had never been that way before .Just south of Wujal Wujal came across something that really tested the Isuzu:o A fella stuck in a river with water up to the top off the mudgards.Having none off that fancy electrics I just drove in hooked him up and towed him out .I suppose a local would be the only one to try and drive a rideon mower across a river:D:Rolling: .After paying for a ferry refit I drove up to the CREB track crossed the river did a couple of Ks decided it was too dry turned around and went home .I only did the TC DR bearing thing as I was doing the other mods but sure it is not required I just like to stuff around :p
