Hi
I am on road traveling north qld but will be heading south soon
I may make it back to Canberra for the first service of my D4 but are looking for options in case
Can some one recommend a D4 service centre in north Brisbane or Coffs or in between
As this is the first service I may need to go to a LR dealer
Thanks for any help

Austral landrover is in Newstead in the northern end of Brisbane city. I think the others are not dealers but independents but being your first service I think it should go to the dealer.

If you definitely want to use a dealer, then Austral are your only option in Brissie. Or you could go to Bruce Lynton on the Gold Coast.
The other option would be to use a Land Rover specialist - many on here use and recommend M.R Automotive at Redcliffe, on the northern fringes of Brisbane.

There is pacific land rovers in maroochydore
As well
Some one mentioned a Coffs option as well
I have a few thousand Kms to go which may not me enough to make it home
Do the people from M R have access to the online log book used by LR now
I so not have a paper log book

I guess I am being a bit paranoid about this but it is the first major service for my car and I of not want have hassles dealing with LR later.
I asked my dealer if I can use M R automotive and misunderstood his reply.
I thought he said i could not use him but what he really said was that he is not authorized.
I think what this all means is that he can do service and non warranty repairs.
Warranty stuff must go through a dealer which is reasonable.
Whether he can update the online log book is still not known but I will try and find it out.
Is this how other people understand it works.
It may be easier to go to a dealer but M R is located close to where I would be based at the time.
Thanks again,
Richard

Not sure about the online log book. I use M.R. for our Defender, but our D4 was purchased with a corporate servicing program, so for at least the first 3 years it will be serviced by a dealer. Austral did our 12 month service and picked up a couple of issus that were fixed under warranty.

MR do all my services, but they can't do any warranty work, that has to be done at the dealer.

Hi,
As mentioned above I was looking for a service to be done while I am travelling. I ended up going to M RAutomotive for the service as this was the easiest for me.
I also got a wheel alignment as my tyres are scuffing out a bit on the sides. I did not get one done earlier which I should have I guess but I do not want to keep these tyres much longer.
The guys at M R seem to be a good bunch. They gave me a list of things done and proposed future servicing frequencies, which is different from LR as Lrs are at every 26,000km, even oil changes.
As LR do not give you a log book and do not provide access to the online log book I have no way of verifying all required actions were done.
I am not suggesting they aren't but it would be nice to know.
If any one has a summary of what should be done for their 2014 D4 26,000km services would you mind either PMing me them or post here.
I will visit my local dealer when I get back home to let them know the service was done but it would be good to be a bit prepared.
Thanks for any help
Richard
