Want to read a load of crap have a look here.

Why don't people buy more Land Rovers? - What to buy - Automotive (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1926715)

Doing a search for something led me to the Whirlpool forum.

I had a read and have not read so much crap in my life!

Common Guys, its perfectly written by people who have never owned 1 , never been in one and only ever listened to like minded people who have about the same or less amount of knowledge.

Quite personally I am happy for them to stay with whatever it is they drive.

Cheers Ean

That's hilarious - I agree with Ean - leave them alone driving whatever they want to.

Whirlpool is great for certain subjects.......but there is a very good reason it is nicknamed "whingepool" ;)

Well I got as far as the second post ..................................... from a past Land Rover owner - very knowledgeable bloke it seems - who had a "V8 Petrol TDI".

And then a few posts later when questioned on this, the same shining light of intelligence corrected himself to say that it wasn't a TDI, but a TD5.

Why would you take anything on this site seriously .................... :Rolling::Rolling::Rolling:

It never fails to amuse me that at every opportunity Toyota and Patrol owners hang it on Land Rovers.

On numerous occasions, on Cape York Telegraph track, Simpson Desert, Anne Beadell and many other locations, I saw plenty of them broken down and/or unable to traverse sections of track, creeks and inclines that the Landies did with ease.

I and my fellow Landy friends never tell these other owners that their vehicles are sub standard but they can't wait to make some comment like "I didn't think that would get out to here" or "Hang on and I will tow you out" which on some occasions has been the other way round.

I agree, let them live in their own little world and we shall quietly continue to enjoy driving a very capable and iconic 4WD.

My Dad said you don't sell Fords by rubbishing Holdens - should let these geese know that.

The automotive lounge on Whirlpool is a joke.
I offered advice on a mechanical question once, was savagely disagreed with by some resident experts.
What would I know, only a mechanic for over 30 years :(
