Dad managed a property near there, a couple of lifetimes ago. I promised myself I would go back & see if it is still going. Now there is secret squirrel business, outside of town, Bob [ ssshhhh!]

The reason it got its name;

For those curious of the appellation, many years ago drovers found this point a safe crossing of the Thomson for both bullock teams and drivers. With the point becoming known, somewhat of a stone 'fortress' was built for men to camp. The engineering skills being somewhat short of their English forefathers and the 'fortress' falling into ruins, the area was christened "Stonehenge"

Aren't they uncovering similar structures in Ireland and Northern Scotland??

The Picts maybe or could they pre-date the Picts??

I thought Jindalee was finished.....the system must be so outdated.

.....unless they've kept the name and updated stuff.

I go out that way often enough but have never seen a military or govt vehicle driving around , nor aeroplanes or choppers.

So come on you spooks , enlighten me.

I believe they use it to observe North Korean missile launches and they give us lots of notice as they like the publicity:)

PS : there was some speculation it was in use when MH370 when down
