Afternoon all
Steph, Ian & Dougal left home at 11.45 and headed for Warrick for a late lunch. Doogs looked after the bikes whilst we had a bite to eat. We left Warrick for the first nights stop at Texas. We had a good run with only one police car ( booking someone else) 40km west of Warrick. Doogs is below out the front of the Stockman's Hotel ready to party hard with the locals.83640[/ATTACHHeading for Gulgong tomorrow. Have a good night. [ATTACH]83641

Here I am with a birdseye view, on the lookout for Roo's. The next stop was in Warialda at the park to stretch the legs and then onto Bingara for a fuel stop for both the bikes and us.

Hi all
We Went to the national museum today, very interesting but i couldnt get to the exibits to have my photo taken with them. They were either roped off or under glass. Ian did get a couple of photos of the steam engine his Grandad built when he worked for the NSWGR, the 3801, the fastest steam engine Australia ever built, and a couple of shots of one of the first 48-215 Holdens. We had to find a motorcycle accessory store this afternoon as Ian's rain jacket zipper grenaded, the clouds were threatening but after we came out of the shop, the sky was blue again but the wind cut straight thru you. After a lesuirely ride this arvo, We are at Bungendore tonight enjoying a meal at the local pub. 83964

Hi all
We loaded the bikes at Bungendore this morning only to see this in the carpark of the Inn we stayed at. It is owned by Don the gardener and used to be a Bungendore RFS truck. Unfortuneatly he was asked to paint over the brigade stickers on the doors. 1967 2a, Six cylinder factory landy motor and still running sweet. He also has another 2a at home and a series 1 as well which he is rebuilding from a lot of boxes it was delivered in. It took Steph 1/2hr to get Ian out of there (tragic ain't it). After breakkie we got a phone call to inform us that a lifelong friends father had passed away which was sad but has been coming for a while now so it wasnt a great shock. We left for Goulbourn, had a walk around to stretch the legs and then rode to Oberon for lunch at the local pub, extremely cold thru Abercrombie national park but very pretty country. Luckily the 5 layers of clothes with wet weather gear on top stopped the wind slicing thru us. Heading for Bathurst tonight with a nice meal out to celebrate Steph & Ian's 26th wedding anniversary. We will have to take a run around Bathurst tomorrow before heading off to Sofala and all points north and back into some warmer country.
Cheers all

Well we got to Bathurst and as the weather looked a bit ominous, with 5 layers of clothes on we went for a lap or 3 of Mt Panorama incase it decided to rain. ( none yet thankfully) Well Steph behaved herself for the most part but Ian reckons his throttle got stuck a bit open, especially on Conrad after a 1st precautionary run around the track. How those guys maintain so much speed thru the chicain at the end of Conrod is amazing as it's a lot tighter than it looks. it was a hellava lot of fun though!!!!!
Cheers Doog's.

Hi all
We left Bathurst to blue skies and
1 degree. Went thru to Sofala and had morning tea there

It's a very pretty little town and if you havent been there, its one road in and the same road out, built on the side of a hill on the river ( for gold prospecting).

We left Sofala and had a great ride theu to Kandos, Rylston, thru the Bylong Valley and across to Sandy Hollow for a late lunch at the pub. Refueled and did a run up the New England Hwy for an overnight stop in Tamworth. We are going to have a late start tomorrow and have a wander around here before deciding where to head for tomorrow night. Little bloke like me needs his rest, so till tomorrow, nite all.
Cheers Dougal

Hi all
We Left Tamworth this morning after eggs benedict and coffee (the buggers never brought any back for me) and headed up to Uralla. The highway was boring so Ian took a detour and headed nth west to Bungarra for morning tea & coffee. We went for a walk down the main street for a pitstop and the Rozzers pulled over a dodgey looking toyota with young people in it, at first we though they got nicked for speeding thru town (50kph area) but on our way back up the street, the highway patrol pulled up and they started stripping the car searching for something ( cant trust toyota drivers can ya) We started heading for Inverell and another car of Rozzers with lights flashing flew by into town for back up, that bloke must have been as dodgey as a $3 note!. After fueling up in Inverell
84107
We continued north west to Bonshaw and then east to Reedy Creek winery, 55km east of Tentefield where we pick up a cheeky little merlot for dinner tonite at the local gourmet pizza restaraunt. If you get out here, you gotta try them, never had a bad one yet. Unloaded all our gear at the motel for tonight, cuppa coffee time now, and then out for pizza.
Thx X-Box. Will do.
Cheers all

After a nice brekkie at Tentefield we rode out past Rover Park, thru to Casino, Lismore and Clunes were Ian's sister has just bought a small farm. The last owner literally walked away from everything on the property including 3 x 3 bedroom houses that can be rented out, tractor, 14 cows and 5 new born calves, 2 sheds full of stuff including coffee machines, tools, electrical gear and the list just goes on. We stayed till 3.30pm them went back to Lismore and did the run to Cawongla, Uki, murwillumbah and over Numinbah back home . 2960km averaging 4.4ltr/100km fully loaded. Now to unpack.
