bulkhead to windscreen seal

hi all,

i am now at the stage of fitting the windscreen back on to the bulkhead. i was given this Stop all tape by a friend, does anyone know if this will work??

the only problem with this tape he gave me is it is not wide enough but he did say they have different widths if the one he gave me was to thin.

on the back it says, stops dust, water, noise, vibration and it just sticks on

hi Alan,

I did use the stop tape, i got it from my local Clarke rubber store in mandurah.

i didn't use the one pictured as it was not the right size.

I bought 1.5m (a little extra just in case) x 9mm high and 35mm wide.

i gave the top of the bulkhead a quick wipe down with warm water and then got the wifeys hairdryer to dry it :D

then it was just a matter of peeling back the paper to stick it to the bulkhead. i think if it was a soft top i would of stuck it to the window and not the bulkhead, in case you wanted to remove/lower your window you wouldn't see the tape stuck to the bulkhead.

for 1.5m it cost about $25

i can't say just yet how well it works but as for ease of fitting so far it has been the easiest thing to fit :)

is it foam based?

it is like a weird looking foam but no like your lounge seat foam, more high density then that.

looks the same as the stuff on rover parts website for weather sealing.

on the description at the shop it had high rating for dust/water/uv/vibration/noise resistance, but like all things only time will tell :D
