Hi Guys,
I am new to the forum. I have just purchased a 98 Freeland 1.8 manual for my daughter. It needs a little work and one of my concerns is the slap I get from the rear as I change between 1st and 2nd gears.
It feels like play in the uni joints but these check out ok. If I rev higher before changing gears I don't get it but if I change gears at lower revs and drive it more gently I get the slap from uptake of slack somewhere in the driveline.
Is there a common issue around this that any of you may be aware of?
Cheers
Rob
