Well a while back I bought some blend motors to get rid of the dreaded book symbol and have the climate control temperature working both sides. But I've been too lazy and haven't got around to it. Truth be told it wasn't too bad as the temperature stayed ok. I guess when it sensed too cold it turned the air con off so the slightly warm air then heated the cabin back up. Just wasn't as effective as it should have been in extreme heat or cold or in the morning demist. And at one stage I had hot one side and cold the other so climate control was operated by turning vents off ha ha. Yeh I know that is pretty lazy.

Anyway, I now have a drip and smell of coolant in the driver's side foot well.

So now this needs fixing so it's made it worth while fixing the blend motors. I feel blessed ha ha.

I've read that I should get the proper orings as some people put what they thought were equivalent and they leaked.

Anyone suggest any local sources? I'm Sydney based.

And I'm pretty sure I can do both the blend motors and the orings with the same shortcut method of drilling a hole in the rear duct. Well I'm hoping that's the case. Don't particularly want to pull the dash out as I'm not super keen to replace the heater box with an Audi one.

Buy the genuine O-rings at Land Rover Narellan.

See I didn't even think of asking Land Rover themselves. Must be a defence system in my brain saying don't get ripped off ha ha.

But for this job I'll be sure to go genuine so head down there on the weekend. Might call first to make sure they have them in.

If they don't have them in stock & you need them in a hurry, I have a few sets here.

Thanks Scott. I'll suss it out before taking your spares.

I have a back up car so it's not critical, but its like a broken toy as the other car doesn't go as well off the bitumen ha ha.

"broken toy"... you've just nailed a profound truth describing the obsession of all addicted LR owners when something " ain't quite right"...:D ...ohh! the pain of it... the waiting for the parts ordered online at 2am:twisted: and when driving the ever reliable "backup" family vehicle always seems sort of 'second best'... unless it's another LR of course:D
