I sympathise with the Iginte one, dad had a Series III when i was a kid, a neighbour woke us up at three in the morning to inform us our land rover was on fire. $30 later it had a new dash board, good as new. Matt

was told today an old story about the early 2 door Rangies - the clock in the centre of the dashboard - second one across was wired direct and had no fuse.

The clock used to overheat and burn the wiring out - generally setting on fire the centre of the dash in the mean time!!!

Moral - replace as much Lucas with Bosch, make sure they are fused!!!

However, you will find many Lucas parts are actually made by Bosch in the past - just rebadged them.
