Adjusting A frame ball joint

How does one adjust a maxi-drive A frame ball joint?

Good timing.......mine is need of adjusting also

I'm thinking the conditions that they are exposed to (sand, salt, mud etc) might present some problems.

I also assume you need a piece of flat bar, anybody know the width of the slot!?
