Tyres - will these fit

I have a 1969 series 2a with rims 272309

Will a 205 r16 fit on that rim ok?

Tried a bit of reading and now more confused!

I fitted 205 R16 all terrain tyres to my IIA. I'm pretty sure my wheels have that part number but in any case are 5 inch wheels. See photo for result.

I have 205/16's on my Series 1 and they are 5" rims. Technically not correct, but they've been on for a few years now.

I have asked the seller to measure the tyres and the diameter is 2 inches (29") less than the 7.5R16's (31") that I have. Whilst this shouldn't stress the drive train it might make hitting 100kph bit harder.

Might have to be patient a little longer
