I am sick of faulty parts!!

Is there any company that actually sells quality electrical parts for the old s3?? My parents just got stranded after borrowing my car because the ignition switch I bought from England ( genuine Lucas apparently) for quite a few $$ failed (fell a part) completely after 2 weeks of fitting. I am sick of replacing "genuine" brake light switches once a year, I am sick of head light switches that literally fall apart after a few times of use. They all come in a Lucas box but these are easy to print. Is there anyone out there that sells "real" genuine parts, or just something that works??

i had 3 faulty thermostats in a row.
had to change supplier to get one that worked!

had the same problem with my 98 defender 110 headlight switch, was traveling around northern gulf 4 headlight switches failed still got the parts in a bag, ended up going to a auto elec and put in a old style pull out switch
that was 3years ago still good, same as the vacuum pump original lasted 220,000ks now gone through 4 in 130,000ks. crap like this and dodgy mechanics give landrovers a bad name
