G'day guys,
Well I had the opportunity to ride, not yet drive, in a V8 Auto Disco 3 at the weekend.
Let me just say, VERY impressed.
The space, use of that space is very well thought out - best thing I like is the fact the seats fold flat in the rear.
The technology was just AMAZING - from the voice activated SatNav / Stereo to the multifunctional display of in the 4WD mode - you can see straight away which direction your wheels are pointing, the level of each independent suspension, weather the diffs are locked / unlocked (either manually or automated)
What else can I say about the Terrain Response that has not been said by the worlds press already - really looking forward to see this in action in the next D4 Challenge and such events.
For all those worried about clearance - don't be, no diff centres to get caught upon, very well protected flat / smooth under body - no sign of the spare wheel from what I could see.
oh and just to tea it off those adaptive headlights!!!
It's so far the many little things that you think of later - the auto releasing handbrake on acceleration is just one of those nice finishes that I'd guess you would wonder why they were not standard for so many years.
Again these are just my first impressions, I'm sure you will ALL appreciate the advances of the continued improvements of the brand.
I'm starting to get those goose bumps - the same ones I got when I saw my first Disco back in 1989, how far LR has travelled in such time is amazing.
Just my 10c worth
