I am trying to work out why the RSFV landys need 4 wheel disc brakes,snorkels,driving lights,solid centre wheels,and 2 spare wheels.As all the perenties would be subjected to the same driving conditions IE deep river crossings rough and steep country.

Hi, most perenties dont really go off the bitumen, some just base rats. RFSV do serious off road for extended periods.

I herd they do a lot of wading/fording in salt water.
more susceptible to rust than the others?
