Can you turn the 7 seater D4 into a 5 seater, what floor panels are required
and their availability?

Make you own, it's easy, a lot of the drawer makers don't make a false floor, but utilise the area for storage, with access through the bottom of the Drawers, some do a water bladder in the space.

Drifta would probably make you a false floor, give a ring, they are pretty easy to deal with.

Remember that unless you're putting a rear wheel carrier on, you'll need to still have access to your spare wheel winder.

Yes, but keep in mind making the change "permanent" requires the vehicle be reclassified as a 5 seater (legally)..
You can be booked/defected during a road stop if 'they' read a 7 seat plate and 2 are removed (obviously) permanently.

As above,I changed my 5 seat D1 to 7 seat and it failed it's RWC when I moved to WA,it's a blue slip inspection and then an adjustment of records over here. Pat

I suspect the only way one could get booked for this is if you admit that it is a permanent alteration. How could they prove otherwise?

Anything resembling a permanent solution... So a new floor, bolted on draws etc...
Just pulling the seats for a load to go in is considered short term.

I thought the earlier D4s had a 5 seat option, anyone know what was over that rear in- floor storage space? similar to the 7 seater sans the seats so what covered that?

Our D4 is a MY14 5 seat, the area where the seat option would sit is like a MDF board or similar covered in carpet.

Drawers are removable and attached to the luggage restraints, so not classed as permanent;)

When asked, just reducing weight for our trip sir:D

And leave the seat-belts in place, so that you can show it is only a temporary change... :D
